Hitachi Energy Sweden AB is seeking an R&D Engineer for Testing and Validation in Ludvika. You will join the Environmental Verification team to perform environmental verification and qualification testing across EMC, climatic, safety, and mechanical domains.

Responsibilities include developing test plans and reports, building lab setups, and ensuring compliance with international standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams on product qualification and release readiness.

Qualifications

  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and data acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and execute environmental verification activities (EMC, climatic, safety, mechanical).
  • Develop test specifications, procedures, verification plans, and reports for hardware products.
  • Build, supervise, and troubleshoot laboratory test setups with instrumentation.
  • Verify compliance with IEC standards and internal requirements; support root-cause investigations.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, project teams, suppliers, and external labs throughout the lifecycle.

IVRS is responsible for integration, verification, release, and support activities, ensuring that MACH products and solutions meet defined requirements and are released with the right quality. The Environmental Verification function is responsible for environmental verification and qualification testing of MACH hardware products, including pre-compliance, pre-type, and type testing activities.We play a key role in ensuring compliance with applicable international standards and regulatory requirements while supporting product qualification and release readiness.
