Job summary

Winthrop Technologies is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our project team in Skelleftea, Sweden. You will support commercial management of data centre projects, ensuring costs are controlled and financial delivery aligns with objectives.

The role involves budgeting, procurement, subcontractor accounts, change orders, interim valuations, and collaboration with project teams. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years QS experience in construction are required, with emphasis on cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction.
• Experience supporting commercial aspects of construction projects.
• Strong cost control, procurement, and contract administration knowledge.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary project team.
• Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support management of commercial and contractual aspects across the project lifecycle.
• Assist in preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Support the procurement process, including subcontractor tendering, evaluation, and contract administration.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities to support financial control.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Package Managers, and site teams on cost management.
• Ensure all commercial and contractual documentation is maintained and up to date.
• Attend Commercial Meetings, Site Meetings, and Project Reviews.
• Assist in evaluating and processing change orders and variations in line with contract requirements.
• Prepare interim valuations, applications for payment, and assist with final accounts.
• Provide commercial support and advice to the project team.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and company procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management.
• Identify and support the resolution of commercial and contractual issues.
