Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Manager for Material Kits in Ludvika. You will plan, coordinate, and drive material kit projects to ensure material readiness, timely execution, and adherence to budgets.

Work closely with Planning, SCM, Engineering, Production and PM teams to align material availability with project needs, manage risks, and deliver high-quality results. The role emphasizes stakeholder management and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, SCM, Business Administration, Project Management, or another relevant field.
  • Experience in project management, planning, supply chain, logistics, or related operations, preferably cross-functional.
  • Fluent in English, strong communication and stakeholder management; SAP experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate Material Kit projects to ensure material readiness and on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with Planning, SCM, Engineering, Production and PM teams to align material availability with project needs.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, delivery performance, risks, and milestones; provide clear status updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate material shortages, bottlenecks and other challenges to secure delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement to planning processes, material flow, and overall project performance.

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Project Manager Material Kits to join our Power Transformers business in Ludvika. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving Material Kit projects to ensure material availability and successful project execution within agreed timelines, quality standards, and budgets.

You will work closely with Planning, SCM, Engineering, Production, and Project Management teams, acting as a key coordinator to ensure that material kits are delivered according to project requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, managing multiple stakeholders, and solving complex operational challenges.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead and coordinate Material Kit projects, ensuring material readiness and successful execution according to project timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate across Supply Chain Management, Planning, Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Project Management functions to align material availability with project needs.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, delivery performance, risks, and key milestones, providing clear status updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve material shortages, bottlenecks, and other project challenges to secure on-time delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, material flow, operational efficiency, and overall project performance.
Your background
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or another relevant field.
  • Experience in project management, planning, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or related business operations, preferably in a cross‑functional environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, identify risks, and drive mitigation actions.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and influence others through collaboration and expertise.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken; experience with ERP systems such as SAP and knowledge of manufacturing, power transformers, or supply chain processes are considered an advantage.
