Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Sweden is seeking a Project SCM Specialist to act as the focal point between HVDC and suppliers during project execution, ensuring deliveries align with time, cost, and quality. This role offers collaboration with SCM Managers, Logistic Planners, engineers and suppliers in a global setting.

You will join a team of Project SCM Specialists, drive proactive planning, manage multiple stakeholders, and support continuous improvement while living Hitachi Energy's safety and integrity

Qualifications

  • Degree in SCM, Business & Administration, or Engineering.
  • 2–3 years with suppliers and stakeholder management.
  • Structured and organized under pressure with many tasks.
  • Experience in project-based environments with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Collaborative, reliable, independent and results-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Focal point between HVDC and suppliers during execution.
  • Coordinate with Project SCM Managers, Logistic Planners and Engineers to ensure on-time, on-budget deliveries meeting quality standards.
  • Work with a team of Project SCM Specialists and take on equipment or project responsibility.
  • Ensure proactive planning and follow-up of equipment deliveries with suppliers and stakeholders.

How You’ll Make An Impact


  • As Project SCM Specialist you will be the focal point between HVDC and our suppliers during the execution phase of our projects.

  • You will work closely with Project SCM Managers, Logistic Planners, Engineers, Documentation Control and Suppliers follow up and secure that the equipment and documentation deliveries from our Suppliers is according to agreed time, cost and quality.

  • You work in a team with other Project SCM Specialists and will take on equipment’s or project responsibility.

  • During the project execution you need to ensure relentless execution with proactive planning and follow-up on all equipment deliveries with our suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • During project execution you will also drive, attend and provide information to kick-off and clarification meetings with suppliers.

  • You will work closely with the Project SCM Manager to solve upcoming quality constraints or deficiencies with the supplier equipment deliveries.

Your Background


  • You have an academic degree in a relevant field: Supply Chain Management, Business & Administration, or Engineering (or equivalent work experience).

  • Preferably you have 2-3 years of professional experience working in close interaction with suppliers and have practice stakeholder management to some extent.

  • You should also have the ability to stay structured and organized even under pressure and when dealing with many tasks and stakeholders in parallel.

  • Enjoy working in project-based environments and collaborating with people from different functions, educational backgrounds, and cultures.

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, as the role involves working in a global organization with international suppliers.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills are required in this role.

  • On a personal level, you are a collaborative and reliable team player with an independent and results oriented working style.
