Job summary

Air Liquide Nordics is seeking a Project Engineer CI&S to support the full lifecycle of customer installations from offer to handover. You will assist the sales team during business development, prepare specifications, manage budgets and schedules, and lead execution with internal staff or contractors.

Strong engineering background and IT/OT skills are required. The role involves risk assessments, change management, and close collaboration with maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electro‑Mechanical fields.
• Fluent Swedish and English; Danish optional.
• Valid driving license and IT/OT skills (ACAD, SAP).

Job description

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

To support the gas sales and operations of Air Liquide Nordics, the Project Engineer CI&S is responsible for supporting operations for the whole lifetime of a customer installation (from offer to dismantling) and the commercial teams during the business development phase. She/he ensures cost calculation, project preparation, execution and handover of all projects related to customer Installation, manages lead time, budget and scope, keeping in mind legal obligations, AL standards, quality and best practices.

Project scope definition

The Project Engineer will support the sales representative in the opportunity / business development phase.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that a clear scope has been defined during the business development phase.
• Define the necessary services and the appropriate equipment including the Assets in collaboration with the Assets team.
• Prepare specifications and perform RFQs together with Procurement, if applicable.
• Develop technical proposals, including budgetary and scheduling requirements, to support the creation of commercial offers.
• Ensure that a complete and clear design basis is established.
• Perform risk assessments.
• Obtain validation from Design Authority or use validated standard designs.
• Participate during the offer / contract / Design Basis review.
• Lead project execution upon budget approval.
• Obtain needed legal permits.
• Acquire and obtain required parts and services.
• Installations will be constructed using internal Air Liquide staff or external contractors.
• Ensure timely project reviews and project reports to stakeholders (especially sales reps).
• Announce and manage change orders if any (deviations from initial scope).
• Manage reservation of assets (Vessels, Heaters, Mixers and other invested equipment).
• Supervise and execute start-up and commissioning procedures, or assign these responsibilities to qualified personnel.
• Complete technical files and hand them over to operations.
• Initiate project closure.
• Provide feedback on project’s lessons learned together with all involved stakeholders.
• Provide necessary information to maintenance teams for implementation maintenance plans on invested equipment.
• Determine working budget for continuous maintenance purposes.
• Communicate the completion of investment orders to accounting / investment control to allow proper and timely activation of installed assets.
• Provide support during the lifetime of the customer installations (risk assessments, changes, compliance assessments, audits, …).
• Manage tanks installation modifications exchanges and dismantlings.
• Report anomalies.

Are you a MATCH?

• Academic or professional Master/bachelor: Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanics, Chemical or equivalent), Mechanical or Electro Mechanical technical degree.
• Location: Bromma
• Languages: Fluent in Swedish and English, Danish is nice to have.
• Valid driving license
• IT/OT skills: ACAD, Google Tools, Telemetry applications, SAP.
• Understand procedures and regulatory for new and existing industrial installations.
• Strong knowledge of engineering & project methodologies & maintenance activities.
• Technical understanding of gas physical and production processes.
• Strong understanding of Safety procedures.
• Willingness to travel.
• Promote and support actions towards Safety, Health and environment protection.
