Job summary

Stegra is seeking a Project Cost Controller to join the Project Controls team in Boden, Sweden. You will support cost control activities within an assigned project area and work closely with Project Managers, EPCM partners, and finance to ensure accurate cost information and timely reporting.

The role is within the Project Delivery function with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting for project execution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in project cost control or similar roles.
• Experience in industrial, construction, infrastructure, or EPCM environments is advantageous.
• Degree or equivalent practical experience in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of budgets, forecasting, cost reporting and change management.
• Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support cost control activities within an assigned project area, ensuring alignment with budgets and objectives.
• Review and analyze cost reports, forecasts, commitments, accruals, and change orders from EPCM contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare cost forecasts, variance analyses, cash flow information, and monthly reporting.
• Monitor project cost performance and identify trends, risks, opportunities, and deviations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Area Managers, Finance, Procurement, Planning and EPCM partners to ensure accurate cost information.
• Support change management activities and assess cost impact of project changes.
• Maintain project cost reports, dashboards, and supporting cost control documentation.
• Contribute to reliable and transparent project reporting throughout the execution phase.
