Hitachi Energy in Ludvika, Sweden, is seeking a Project Controller for Power Transformers to support business performance and strategic decision‑making. You will work with local and global stakeholders, providing financial insights and contributing to the continued growth of our operations.

The role focuses on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, with emphasis on improving processes and tools such as Power BI and SAP across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or similar qualifications.
• +5 years of experience in finance and business controlling.
• Excellent accounting and analytical skills.
• English language required.
• Very good MS Excel and SAP ERP skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across functions.
• Proactive, goal‑oriented problem solving.

Responsibilities

The opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as a Project Controller for Power Transformers and become part of a global organization at the forefront of the energy transition. We are looking for a driven and analytical Project Controller who wants to play a key role in supporting business performance and strategic decision‑making within our Power Transformers business. In this role, you will work closely with both local and global stakeholders, providing valuable financial insights and contributing to the continued growth and success of our operations. The position is based in Ludvika, Sweden.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Support on preparation of relevant financial reporting, business planning, budgeting and forecasting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Analysis of results, costs, profitability, margins and cash flow.
• Monthly cost tracking and cost center follow-ups.
• Perform quality checks on financial reporting data, including analytical review of major fluctuations including FX impact.
• Participates in initiatives to continuously improve financial accounting and reporting processes and tools (Power BI, ERP/SAP etc.).

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or similar qualifications
• +5 years of experience in area of finance and business controlling, preferably from a global company.
• Excellent accounting and analytical skills are essential.
• English, both written and spoken, is required.
• Very Good MS Excel and ERP (ideally SAP) skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, also across functional boundaries.
• Orientation on goal, proactive approach and problem‑solving attitude.
