Job summary

Alstom Sweden in Västerås is looking for an ambitious Product Industrialization Manager to oversee the industrial process for electronic products in the railway industry. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical background and be keen on delivering excellent results with a team-oriented mindset.

This position encompasses responsibilities such as managing industrial processes, supporting DFx in hardware development, and maintaining a focus on quality, cost, and delivery throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Electronics and ideally 2-5 years of relevant experience.

The life cycle for electronic products for the railway industry is normally more than 30 years. This places high demands on the design, industrialization, and management of the product.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting in DFx (Design for Manufacturing, Testability, Reliability and Repairability) in the electronic HW development process.
• Managing the industrial process for electronic products.
• Life Cycle Management (Quality, Cost, Delivery) for electronic products.

This role spans over a wide area, which requires a lot but at the same time means great opportunities for personal development.

The PIM is the main industrialization contact for all functions and will work close together with our external electronic suppliers, product program manager, HW development teams, bids, quality team, component engineers etc.

All about you:

• University Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience
• 2-5 years of manufacture production experience or in a similar role
• Language skills required: advanced/business fluent level of English. It could be beneficial to have at least a medium level of Swedish.
• Experience in working with Engineering, Procurement, Quality and external Suppliers.
• Knowledge about electronics (PCBA) manufacturing and its processes
• Desired competencies: teamwork, communication, planning, drive for results and flexibility
• Flexibility to travel to a low-medium degree required.
