Job summary

Maya Delorez, a Swedish equestrian brand, is seeking a Product Developer to manage the full product development process from concept to final product across categories. You will help build our development function, driving innovation, quality, and sustainability.

Experience in outdoor, sportswear, or performance apparel is preferred; you understand athletes' needs and translate that into premium products for riders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in apparel product development, preferably in technical/performance sportswear.
• Degree in Textile Management, Product Development, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, fit, manufacturing processes, and sustainable production methods.
• Proven ability to negotiate pricing, lead times, and MOQs while achieving margin and delivery goals.
• Excellent English skills; Swedish is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee product development from idea to production, ensuring quality, performance, and sustainability standards.
• Coordinate the full NPD process with internal teams and external partners.
• Source fabrics, trims, and materials balancing performance, sustainability, and cost.
• Prepare and maintain tech packs and product documentation.
• Manage material orders, prototypes, samples, and production timelines for on-time delivery.
• Conduct fittings, testing, and evaluations to meet premium standards.
• Negotiate product details including pricing, MOQs, and lead times; follow up on quality improvements.
• Implement sustainability goals and responsible sourcing/production.

About the Role

As a Product Developer, you’ll manage the full product development process — from concept to final product — across all categories. You’ll help build and shape our product development function, driving innovation, quality, and sustainability in every step.

We believe you have experience within outdoor, sportswear, or performance apparel, or a background in competitive sports. You understand what athletes expect from their gear — functionality, durability, and performance — and can translate that knowledge into premium products that meet and exceed riders’ expectations.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee product development from idea to production, ensuring each style meets quality, performance, and sustainability standards.
• Drive and coordinate the full NPD process, collaborating efficiently with internal teams and external partners.
• Select and source fabrics, trims, and materials that balance performance, sustainability, and cost.
• Suggest alternative solutions to meet target price, quality, and margin goals.
• Prepare and maintain accurate tech packs and product documentation.
• Manage material orders, prototypes, samples, and production timelines to ensure on-time delivery and consistency.
• Conduct fittings, testing, and evaluations, ensuring all styles meet Maya Delorez’s premium standards.
• Negotiate product details, including pricing, MOQs, and lead times, and follow up on quality improvements.
• Implement sustainability goals and ensure responsible sourcing and production.
• Confirm FOB/TGM prices aligned with margin targets, and maintain up-to-date product data for smooth handovers.
• Handle product quality claims and follow up on supplier and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in apparel product development, preferably within technical or performance sportswear.
• Degree in Textile Management, Product Development, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, fit, manufacturing processes, and sustainable production methods.
• Proven ability to negotiate pricing, lead times, and MOQs while achieving margin and delivery goals.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and solution-focused, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent English skills; Swedish is an advantage.
• Bonus: Equestrian knowledge or riding experience.
