Job summary

OHB Sweden AB is seeking a highly structured Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities across several space-related projects. You will manage mechanical, electronic parts and equipment, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality standards.

The role requires a minimum of five years in procurement, preferably in aerospace or high-tech, with strong negotiation and supplier management skills, and the ability to contribute to ERP system rollout.

Qualifications

Job description

OHB Sweden is a leading Swedish supplier of space systems. We develop, build, test and commission satellites and subsystems for space missions in, for example, communication, earth observation and space research for institutional and commercial customers within and outside Europe. We are looking for a highly structured, analytical, and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team and manage procurements for one of our key projects in the space industry. The role requires experience in the procurement of high-technology and space products, together with the ability to support the introduction of new and improved procurement processes associated with the roll-out of a new ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Manage all procurement activities across multiple projects for mechanical parts, electronic parts and manufacturing equipment and tools.
• Ensuring that all units are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the project's objectives.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers for critical components, conduct market analysis, and develop sourcing strategies.
• Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and policies, maintaining transparency on procurement status, issues, and deliverables.
• Support the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of procurement processes in connection with the introduction of a new ERP system.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Office and Engineering teams to support project needs and proposals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the aerospace or high-tech industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier relationship management.
