Job summary

OHB Sweden AB is seeking a highly structured Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities for space-grade mechanical parts, electronics, and manufacturing equipment. The role includes developing sourcing strategies, supplier qualification, negotiations, and supporting a new ERP implementation.

You will collaborate with Project Office and Engineering, ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience.
• Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

OHB Sweden is a leading Swedish supplier of space systems. We develop, build, test and commission satellites and subsystems for space missions in, for example, communication, earth observation and space research for institutional and commercial customers within and outside Europe.

We are looking for a highly structured, analytical, and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team and manage procurements for one of our key projects in the space industry. The role requires experience in the procurement of high-technology and space products, together with the ability to support the introduction of new and improved procurement processes associated with the roll-out of a new ERP system.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all procurement activities across multiple projects for mechanical parts, electronic parts and manufacturing equipment and tools.
• Ensuring that all units are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the project's objectives.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers for critical components, conduct market analysis, and develop sourcing strategies.
• Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and policies, maintaining transparency on procurement status, issues, and deliverables.
• Support the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of procurement processes in connection with the introduction of a new ERP system.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Office and Engineering teams to support project needs and proposals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the aerospace or high-tech industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier relationship management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Structured and analytical working style, with the ability to translate process requirements into practical procurement workflows and system-supported ways of working.
