Welcome to Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel Factory and the Nuclear Safety team! We are 20 employees in different fields who work together to maintain and develop nuclear safety and radiation protection in our factory in Västerås.
Your contribution to the transition to fossil-free energy
As a process engineer within radioactive waste, you will work with developing safe hands-on handling methods for a complex set of waste products that arise from nuclear fuel production. Our fuel plant is a nuclear facility under the supervision of the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority and you will help ensure that we meet all requirements for handling of radioactive waste.
You will work onsite in Västerås and most of your work will be conducted in the fuel factory.

To succeed in the position, we believe that you have an ability to take on complex problems, often involving interacting aspects of chemistry, radiation protection, criticality safety and nuclear regulation. You have a clear way of communicating and a natural focus on development and continuous improvement.
Depending on your interest and profile, you will have good opportunities for development in several different areas, such as specific calculation models, incident investigation and process systems.
