Aller Media Stockholm is seeking a Principal Engineer to lift all product engineering with autonomy and leadership while remaining an individual contributor.

You will shape engineering strategy, mentor engineers, and work across tech stacks to reduce friction, improve observability, and advance developer experience in a high-trust environment.

Qualifications

• Many years as a software engineer building digital products.
• Experience in technical leadership roles (staff/principal, architect, tech lead).
• Fluent in navigating high-trust environments with strong communication.

Responsabilités

• Identify risks and friction points across the engineering organization and reduce them.
• Write code and build tools that improve developer experience and broad impact.
• Measure and improve developer experience and help implement tech strategy.
• Mentor engineers and promote technical initiatives.
• Act as trusted advisor and collaborator for exploration and prototyping.
• Solve high-risk problems beyond normal team structure.
