Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Function Developer in Sweden to contribute to either the EATS & Combustion Control team or the Thermal Management team. You will develop, test, and validate functions for engine control software or thermal energy coordination across powertrains, using Matlab, Simulink, Embedded Coder, and TargetLink. This on-site role involves hands-on testing and collaboration.

You should hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc.

Qualifications

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Mechanical, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven experience as Embedded System Developer or in thermal management for powertrains.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Swedish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and validate functions in engine control software or thermal management systems
• Collaborate with calibration teams and stakeholders to define and meet technical requirements
• Work with Matlab, Simulink, Embedded Coder, and TargetLink
• Conduct SIL testing and support practical validation activities
• Ensure functions align with powertrain performance, emission, or thermal targets
