Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Test Engineer in Sweden to join the automotive client team. You will plan, prepare, and execute verification activities across simulations, test rigs, and vehicles, ensuring products meet technical targets before release. You will collaborate with development teams on verification criteria and test requirements, and help shape verification strategies.

The role requires a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Engineering and at least two years of testing/verification experience, with MATLAB/Simulink

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

ALTEN is now looking for a Test Engineer for an assignment towards one of our clients within the automotive industry. In this role, you will work with verification and validation activities, defining test requirements, executing testing, and analyzing results to ensure quality and performance throughout the product development process.

About the role

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing verification activities using simulation environments, test rigs, and physical vehicles. You will work closely with development teams to define verification criteria and test requirements, ensuring that products and functions meet technical targets before release.

Main responsibilities

• Define verification criteria and test requirements for functions and features
• Create test plans and prepare test activities
• Plan, execute, and follow up testing in test rigs and vehicles
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations
• Manage and report faults identified during testing
• Contribute to the development of test methods and verification strategies

We see that you have:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent
• At least two years of experience within testing, verification, or validation
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
• Experience with automation systems
• Experience with AVL PUMA
• Experience from the automotive or heavy vehicle industry
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
