Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB is seeking a Control System Performance Engineer in Västerås. In this role, you will ensure the dynamic performance of FACTS control systems throughout their lifecycle, working with advanced simulations and collaborating with project teams.

The ideal candidate has a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, with 5–8 years of experience in power-converter control and strong communication skills. This position offers health care allowances and fantastic career opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years’ experience in power‐converter control and EMT simulations.
• Experience from customer‐facing engineering environments.
• Knowledge of grid‐code compliance or grid‐forming converter applications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the control system’s dynamic performance from early design stages through FAT.
• Develop, tune, and verify control functions using Virtual MACH models.
• Analyze customer requirements, grid codes, and technical specifications.
