Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY SWEDEN AB in Västerås is seeking a Control System Performance Engineer to ensure dynamic performance of FACTS control systems. You will work closely with project teams, R&D, and customers to secure robust system performance and contribute to high-power converter control systems.

This role requires an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, 5-8 years of experience, and strong analytical abilities. You will have opportunities for mentorship and various training to support your development.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years' experience in power-converter control and EMT simulations.
• Strong understanding of control theory for high-power electronic converters.
• Experience in customer-facing engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the control system's dynamic performance from design stages through commissioning.
• Develop, tune, and verify control functions using Virtual MACH models.
• Conduct Control Performance Simulation Studies and support related activities.
