Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Power System Simulation Model Engineer in Sweden to advance grid quality and enable renewable integration. The role targets graduates with strong electrical engineering backgrounds who can develop, validate, and deliver advanced power system models for tenders and projects.

You will collaborate with R&D and customers, create real-time control function models, and perform rigorous testing. Excellent English is required; Swedish is a plus.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least three years of experience in power system analysis.
• Experience with power system simulation tools such as RTDS, PSCAD, PSS E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, validate, and deliver simulation models for tenders and projects.
• Collaborate with R&D and customers to gather requirements for technical solutions.
• Create software-in-the-loop models of real-time control functions.
• Perform testing/validation of power system models and tools.
• Conduct RMS simulation studies with customer networks.
• Prepare clear technical documentation and reports.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
