Job summary

Karolinska Institutet in Solna invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar in computational biology to investigate molecular landscapes of chronic pain and headache disorders using single-cell and spatial approaches.

The successful candidate will join Saida Hadjab's Neurobiology of Pain & Therapeutics group, collaborate with PhD students and international partners, and contribute to data-intensive analysis and manuscript preparation.

Qualifications

• Strong background in bioinformatics, statistics, and computational biology.
• Proficiency in programming, particularly in R, Python, or other relevant languages.
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Bioinformatics analyses including integration of multiple datasets with a strong focus on single-cell RNA and ATAC sequencing and spatial transcriptomic data.
• Data quality control, data management, and archival storage; developing code and creating tools for advanced data analysis.
• Support ongoing research activities, contribute to manuscript and grant writing, and prepare presentations for scientific meetings.
• Maintain the group’s computational infrastructure and collaborate with PhD students, postdocs, and international partners.
