A leading technical university in Stockholm seeks a PostDoc to lead innovative research in medical robotics, focusing on human-in-the-loop control for cardiovascular technologies. Candidates should hold a doctoral degree and have expertise in mechatronics or robotics. The role includes publishing research independently and supervising students, contributing to a collaborative research environment.
Do you have a background within mechatronics, biomedical, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering and research interests in medical robotics and human in the loop control? This could be a position for you. We are looking for an ambitious, collaborative, and structured person to join our team.
You will lead research efforts in human-in-the-loop control for medical robotics in the context of cardiovascular technologies. The goal is to innovate control systems for optimized interaction of soft cardiovascular pumps and wearable biofeedback systems with the human body. You will have the opportunity to critically assess the safety of the proposed control system for real-world application utilizing a hybrid mock circulation. The unique systems enable real-time testing in interaction with the human cardiovascular system dynamics across various patient groups. You are expected to publish in scientific journals independently and to support the coordination of the research group and supervision of students.
As a PostDoc, you will be an integral part of the Intelligent Heart Technology Lab, whose mission is to advance cardiovascular health technologies, at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Health Systems.
