The Environmental Biotechnology cluster of the Industrial Biotechnology department seeks a highly motivated postdoc candidate to conduct research in the area of resource recovery.
The candidate will be involved in a number of EU and nationally funded projects, mostly in the valorisation of waste and residual streams for the bioproduction of value-added products such as volatile fatty acids and biogas.
These works include the bioproduction process, microbial ecology analysis and the separation and purification of the bioproducts. This work involves collaboration with other academic and industrial partners.
The candidate is expected to write research articles, technical reports and also to present the results orally to the scientific community and the general public.
The work may also involve teaching and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
