Postdoc in computer science - Model-Driven Engineering and AI
Mälardalen University (MDU) is the youngest university in Sweden. In line with our vision, to be a progressive and collaborative university where we shape a sustainable future together, we wish to make a difference. Do you want to be involved and contribute to our development? Together, we can create a sustainable future through knowledge and innovation. We believe that knowledge and new perspectives are best attained and reached together in collaboration with others – our colleagues, students, the private and public sectors, both nationally and internationally.
At the School of Innovation, Design and Engineering, our students are studying to be innovators, entrepreneurs, illustrators, information designers, network technicians, and engineers. We have five research specializations with different profiles and research schools. Our work takes place in cooperation with and in strategic agreements with companies, organizations, and public authorities in the region.
The purpose of the position is to give the employee an early opportunity to develop independence as a researcher and to create conditions for further qualifications after completing the doctoral degree. The position is a temporary employment of maximum 2 years.
You will work in the MATISSE project, which is based on collaboration between the university and industry, aiming to optimize processes, reduce error margins, and increase productivity in involved companies. Virtual models of real systems, called digital twins, are central to the project, using real examples from companies to develop and test innovative solutions.
As a postdoc, you will be a senior member of the MATISSE project, engaging in research activities independently and with national and European partners. Responsibilities include high-profile research, PhD supervision, attending meetings, presenting at conferences, and managing project milestones and deliverables.
Advantages include experience with model-driven engineering and AI tools, familiarity with European projects, and teaching experience. Personal qualities such as good communication, accuracy, commitment, and prioritization are also valued. Emphasis is placed on cooperation, respect, responsibility, and contributing to a positive work environment. Diversity in age, gender, ethnicity, and culture is appreciated.
