In recent years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies have been developed drastically to change our society and industry. For instance, the performance of wireless networks has been greatly boosted by AI. With increasing data volume and model sizes, high-performance network is also a key enabling technology of advanced AI applications. Wireless network is therefore becoming AI native.
The project will investigate key technologies of AI‑enhanced wireless networks and also advanced AI technologies within networks. You will work on the inter‑disciplinary project of AI and wireless networks in terms of theory and algorithm development. Concrete examples include optimized deployment of AI models in networks or optimized wireless networks by AI such as semantic communications or AI based optimization.
