Job summary

Stockholm University’s Wenner-Gren Institute invites a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to join the Ylva Engström group. The focus is regulation of protein translation and stop codon readthrough (SCR), using genetics, molecular biology, Ribo-Seq, RNA pull-down, mass spectrometry, and reporter assays in cells and tissues.

The successful candidate will work independently but also collaborate closely with the research team.

Qualifications

• PhD in a field related to Molecular Biosciences with demonstrated expertise in molecular biology techniques, RNA-omics and/or proteomics, and related bioinformatic analyses.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
• Strong track record of carrying out and finalizing research projects.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and collaborate closely with the research team.
• Employ genetics, molecular biology and omics techniques including Ribo-Seq, RNA pull-down and mass spectrometry.
• Carry out reporter assays in cells and tissues and perform computational sequence analyses.
