Job summary

Uppsala University invites a postdoctoral candidate to jointly prepare a research proposal on Energy-Aware Computing for CERN’s Future Circular Collider. The project will explore mixed precision, data reduction, heterogeneous CPU/GPU computing, and energy-to-solution optimization for representative FCC workloads.

Candidates with a background in HPC, scientific computing, numerical algorithms, GPU programming, or computational high-energy physics are especially welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience in HPC and scientific computing.
• Background in numerical algorithms and GPU programming is valued.
• Strong foundation in C/C++ and parallel computing paradigms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to shape and prepare an Energy-Aware Computing research proposal for CERN’s FCC.
