Job summary

Aspia is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Group IT Cloud and Operations team in Sweden. You will bridge platform operations, DevOps practices and developer enablement, building secure, scalable services that help development teams deploy and operate solutions efficiently.

The role involves hands-on guidance, incident handling, and governance of GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD pipelines, access management and automation.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in a platform engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or similar technical role.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise or similar source control and DevOps platforms, including administration or operational support.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud platform services, security principles, access management, and automation.
• Good written and spoken English; Finnish or Swedish is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support development teams in adopting platform services, DevOps practices, deployment patterns, and operational ways of working.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and guidance for production-related issues where platform services, integrations, CI/CD pipelines, access, or cloud foundations are involved.

• Take operational responsibility for GitHub Enterprise, including administration, maintenance, access management, repository governance support, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with development teams, architects, security teams, and operations stakeholders to align platform solutions with business, security, and governance requirements.
• Contribute to documentation, onboarding material, support models, and practical guidance that help teams use platform capabilities effectively.
• Promote DevOps principles, standardization, automation, and operational excellence across the platform and developer community.

Platform Engineer, DevOps and Developer Enablement

Role Description

As a Platform Engineer at Aspia, you will work at the interface between platform operations, DevOps practices, and development teams. The role combines platform engineering, operational support, automation, and developer enablement. You will help create and improve the standardized capabilities, tools, guardrails, and ways of working that enable development teams to deploy, integrate, and operate solutions in a secure, scalable, and efficient way. A significant part of the role is to support development teams both when adopting platform services and when resolving production-related issues. In practice, this means providing hands‑on guidance, troubleshooting support, and practical recommendations for deployment pipelines, integrations, access patterns, operational readiness, and platform-related incidents. You will also take operational responsibility for GitHub Enterprise, including administration, maintenance, access management, governance support, and continuous improvement of the developer experience. You will work as part of the skilled Group IT Cloud and Operations team and collaborate closely with development teams, architects, security specialists, and other stakeholders across the organization. The team consists of professionals based in Sweden and Finland. You will report to the infrastructure team Manager. This is a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

What We Expect From You

• Solid experience in a platform engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or similar technical role
• Good understanding of modern software delivery, CI/CD practices, operational support models, and developer enablement
• Hands‑on experience with GitHub Enterprise or similar source control and DevOps platforms, including administration or operational support
• Experience supporting development teams in solution onboarding, troubleshooting, incident analysis, and production‑related technical issues
• Good understanding of Microsoft Azure, cloud platform services, security principles, access management, and automation
• Ability to work in a structured, service‑minded, and proactive way while collaborating effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Experience with infrastructure as code, scripting, or automation is an advantage
• Good written and spoken English; Finnish or Swedish is an advantage
• Relevant education or equivalent practical experience
