Job summary

Swedbank in Stockholm/Sundbyberg seeks a Software Engineer to join Team Platform in Market’s VDE within Corporate Technologies. You will build and evolve the IT platform underpinning financial markets apps, drive automation with CI/CD, and modernize components using cloud-native tech.

You will work across teams on deployment, security, and lifecycle management while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Software Engineer or similar in a complex IT environment.
• Strong deployment, platform operations and lifecycle management knowledge.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and workflows.
• Proficient Python with at least 3 years releasing AI/ML in production.
• Experience with container platforms like Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native work methods.
• Familiarity with networking, certificates, authentication, secrets handling, and security concepts.
• Good Linux/Unix server operations knowledge.
• Experience with observability tooling and dashboards.
• Experience working in regulated environments with stability and change control.
• Strong cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the IT platform supporting financial markets apps and services.
• Drive automation by developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Modernize applications and platform components using cloud and container tech.
• Support lifecycle management: upgrades, patching, decommissioning, debt reduction.
• Ensure security, compliance and operational controls in designs.
• Assist integration between legacy, internal services, and new platform components.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders across teams.
