Job summary

Careium seeks a Data Engineer to help shape and build a modern data and delivery platform from the ground up. You will work closely with software developers and the wider organization to ensure that data is accessible, reliable, and structured for the future.

Day-to-day you will help implement and expand our central data lake and warehouse, build ETL/ELT pipelines, and enable real-time alarm data and user activity through an event-driven platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in data engineering and cloud architecture.
• Interest in data modeling, streaming data, and scalable infra.
• DevOps mindset with automation and IaC awareness.

Responsibilities

• Implement and expand central data lake and data warehouse.
• Set up and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Support event-driven platform for real-time alarms and user activity.
• Migrate legacy data streams to the new platform.
• Develop data documentation, catalogue, and governance.
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate deployments and monitoring.
• Coach developers and analysts in best data engineering practices.
