Job description

What does it take to run a manufacturing site that delivers every day safely, efficiently, and with long-term impact? Here, that challenge becomes an opportunity to shape both performance and people in a company driven by continuous improvement, quality, and responsibility.

Your new team

Production is at the heart of how Kiilto delivers quality and reliability to its customers. The plant teams are located in Hallstahammar and Örnsköldsvik, it´s small teams which creates a collaborative environment where everyone contributes and supports each other.

This is not a layered organization. Decisions are taken close to the operation, and the team works side by side to solve challenges, improve processes, and ensure a high-performing and safe workplace.

About the job

Overall responsibility for plant performance sits here covering safety, quality, productivity, cost, and people. Clear direction is set while staying close to daily operations, ensuring that plans turn into real outcomes on the shop floor.

With a small team, leadership is naturally hands‑on. Being present in the operation, understanding the details, and supporting the team in real time is essential. At the same time, structured development and continuous improvement drive long‑term success.

The role also involves working in a geographically spread organization, where closest manager and colleagues are located in other parts of Sweden and in Finland. This requires a high degree of independence, self‑leadership, and the ability to make decisions and drive progress locally while staying aligned with the wider organization.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Leading safe, compliant, and efficient plant operations
  • Driving production planning, maintenance coordination, and budget performance
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvements
  • Leading and developing the team through engaged, hands‑on leadership
  • Contributing to strategy and collaboration across the organization
Location

The position is based in Hallstahammar reports to the Production Director. Regular on‑site presence is essential. Some travel to the other plant in Örnsköldsvik will be a natural part of your job.

Profile

Relevant academic qualifications or equivalent experience provide a solid foundation, together with a strong background from production or industrial environments. Understanding production processes, planning, and ERP systems is important, along with experience in leading and structuring daily operations.

The ability to combine operational involvement with a structured, forward‑looking perspective strengthens both performance and development.

Grounded and authentic leadership creates clarity and direction while building trust within a smaller team. Thriving in an independent role comes naturally, with confidence to take ownership and drive decisions even when key stakeholders are not physically close.

Strong people leadership is key. Creating engagement, building trust, and bringing people along on change journeys is central to success. A pragmatic, inclusive, and solution‑oriented approach enables progress while strengthening both performance and culture.

Swedish and English are mandatory requirements for the role, as is a valid B driving licence.

Why Join Kiilto

This is an opportunity to take full ownership of a production site within a company that combines strong industrial expertise with a clear sustainability ambition. Kiilto offers a collaborative culture, short decision paths, and the chance to influence both daily operations and long‑term development. You will have the mandate to make a real difference close to the business, close to the people, and with a clear purpose for the future.
