Job summary

Valmet in Hagfors, Sweden, is seeking a Plant Manager to lead a ~100-person site with end-to-end responsibility for safety, production, quality and profitability. The role combines hands-on leadership with strategic influence in Valmet's global manufacturing network.

You will drive Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and strong HSE culture, build relationships with unions, customers and authorities, and translate business strategy into operational excellence across the site.

Qualifications

• Several years of leadership experience managing manufacturing operations and full production organizations.
• Strong experience in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Demonstrated track record in driving HSE performance and fostering a strong safety culture.
• Experience leading organizational change and successfully implementing improvement initiatives.
• Solid understanding of production processes, quality management, maintenance, productivity improvement, and supply chain collaboration.
• Good financial and business acumen.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in Swedish and English.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Given the nature of the role, a regular on-site presence in Hagfors is important, with most working days spent at the site.
