Job summary

Consilium Safety Group in Gothenburg, Sweden, is seeking a production and operations leader to ensure robust manufacturing processes, scalable test systems, and strong calibration methods as the company grows.

You will drive lean programs, coach the engineering team, and partner with Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D to deliver safe, efficient production and new product introductions.

Fluent Swedish and English required; experience with ERP and Lime CRM a plus.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Production and Process Development, Engineering, or a related technical field at university level, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, internal logistics, and experience working with business management and operational processes.
  • Solid theoretical and practical experience in production engineering, industrialization, and Lean methodologies.
  • Ability to apply industry best practices and drive change management.
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of ERP/business systems and Microsoft Office applications; Lime CRM is considered an advantage.
  • Strong personal qualities, including excellent collaboration skills, a solution-oriented mindset, a structured and systematic approach, flexibility, accountability, and a strong focus on quality.
  • Experience working in project-based environments; formal project management training is considered an advantage.

  • Lead the launch, industrialization, and implementation of new products and production lines.
  • Drive investments in automation, production equipment, and future production concepts.
  • Coach and develop the team to ensure a high level of technical competence and continuous development within the engineering team.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement, with a focus on OEE, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and other stakeholders to drive sustainable improvements.
  • Identify and implement best practices, new technologies, and improved ways of working to support the company’s growth and operational excellence.

About the role

In this role, you will work closely with your team to ensure that production processes, test systems, and calibration methodologies are efficient, scalable, and robust. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence through technical leadership, process ownership, and people development while supporting the organisation’s continued growth and innovation journey. You will report to the Director of Operations and Supply Chain.

The position ensures the effectiveness of the support functions for production and operations within the local organisation. The role will ensure process effectiveness and robustness from both a production and supply chain perspective.
