Karolinska Institutet seeks a doctoral student to study autophagy in Alzheimer's disease with translational approaches. The project combines cellular models, mouse studies, CSF biomarker analysis, and omics data integration under expert supervision in a collaborative environment in Solna.

You will perform cell culture, rodent experiments, CSF sampling, brain tissue work, and advanced imaging techniques, while pursuing doctoral coursework and contributing to scientific publications.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or equivalent in biomedicine, molecular biology, neuroscience, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with rodents in a laboratory setting.
• Experience with cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.

Aufgaben

• Plan and perform experiments under supervision.
• Conduct cell culture, drug treatment in vitro and in vivo studies in mice.
• Collect CSF samples and dissect brain tissue for analyses.
• Perform immunohistochemistry with confocal microscopy and image analysis.
• Carry out bioinformatic and statistical analysis of proteomics data.
• Engage in scientific writing and present results at conferences.
