Job summary

SVERIGES LANTBRUKSUNIVERSITET (SLU) invites applications for a Doctoral student position in environmental assessment, specialising in environmental chemistry, located in Uppsala. The project focuses on contaminants of emerging concern in food chains, bioaccumulation, trophic transfer and advanced chemical screening using LC-MS and LC-HRMS-based workflows.

Qualifications

• MSc in analytical chemistry or related field with strong chemistry background.
• Experience with LC-MS/HRMS and other advanced MS techniques is valuable.
• Knowledge of aquatic chemistry or ecotoxicology is a merit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare biological and environmental samples for analysis.
• Extract and analyze target and non-target compounds using HRMS workflows.
• Process large HRMS datasets and perform statistical evaluation.
• Interpret chemical patterns in relation to environmental sources and collaborations.
