Job summary

Job description

Location: Västerås, Sweden

Work arrangement: Office in Västerås with option to work remotely a few days per week.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll, conduct audits, perform reconciliations and manage all daily operational activities with the payroll provider.
• Analyze and validate payroll outputs (gross‑to‑net reports, payslips, time and attendance data).
• Ensure third‑party payments and reporting comply with legal requirements.
• Maintain employee records and prepare regular payroll and ad‑hoc reports.
• Document compliance procedures and maintain written procedures.
• Manage reporting for employee pension and benefits contributions and employer matching.
• Work with HR and Finance systems to maintain accurate payroll and pension records and ensure accurate reporting to pension administrators.
• Resolve issues related to salary, benefits and pension accounts.
• Identify and implement process improvements where gaps are found.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Swedish payroll.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Swedish payroll regulations and terms.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Fluent in Swedish and English (both speaking and written).

Meritorious

• Experience with external payroll providers.
• Knowledge of SAP and SuccessFactors.
• Experience with payroll audits and process improvement.
• Familiarity with multi‑country payroll environment (EMEA).
• Experience with high‑volume payroll or shared‑service environment.
