Job summary

Volvo Financial Services, based in Gothenburg, seeks a Tax Manager to join the central tax team and help deliver the Volvo Group Tax Strategy. You will own tax workstreams, collaborate with VFS and Group Tax, and drive compliance, reporting, and process improvements in an international setting.

You will coordinate Pillar 2, transfer pricing, digital reporting, and e-invoicing efforts, leveraging data and automation to enhance transparency and efficiency across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
• At least seven years of relevant experience in direct and/or indirect tax within multinational, tax authority, or leading tax advisory environment.
• Strong knowledge of international tax and compliance requirements.
• Ability to identify tax risks and translate requirements into practical actions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with tax technology, automation, digital reporting, or process improvement is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Delivering assigned tax workstreams and supporting implementation of the Volvo Group Tax Strategy within VFS.
• Strengthening tax compliance, reporting, risk monitoring, internal controls, and process efficiency.
• Providing practical tax support to regional and market teams.
• Coordinating work on evolving requirements, including Pillar 2, transfer pricing documentation, digital reporting, and e-invoicing.
• Using data, automation, and digital tools to improve tax processes and transparency.
• Monitoring tax developments and supporting Group Tax in tax audits and inquiries.
