Job summary

Areim is seeking a Paralegal to join its Legal & Regulatory team in Stockholm. You will support governance, regulatory processes, KYC/AML activities and broader corporate administration in a business-focused environment. The role offers opportunities to grow into ownership of different areas based on experience and interests.

You will report to the Legal and Regulatory Manager and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, contributing to high-quality documentation and processes.

Qualifications

• Paralegal qualification or relevant professional experience
• Experience in paralegal role, legal administration, governance, KYC or compliance
• Experience in fund management, financial services or regulated environments is desirable but not required
• Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Administer contract management and governance systems.
• Provide KYC and AML-related support and maintain corporate and ownership documentation.
• Coordinate responses to external KYC requests and updates of corporate governance documents.
• Maintain corporate records and assist in board/shareholder documentation.
• Support regulatory administration and recurring reporting related to Areim’s regulated activities.
• Coordinate Investment Committee meetings and take minutes.
• Assist in planning and administration of Board meetings.
• Develop and maintain Legal & Regulatory templates, checklists and process descriptions.
• Assist with simpler legal matters for the business.

Areim is looking for a Paralegal to join its Legal & Regulatory team in Stockholm. This is an opportunity to take on a broad role combining legal administration as well as governance and regulatory support in a business-oriented and entrepreneurial environment.

The role

As a Paralegal at Areim, you will support the Legal & Regulatory team as well as the wider business. Your role will combine recurring processes with ad hoc assignments, with a focus on creating structure, coordinating activities and ensuring high-quality documentation and processes.

You will report directly to the Legal and Regulatory Manager and have the opportunity to help shape and develop your role in a team that is currently evolving. For the right candidate, there will be opportunities to gradually take greater ownership of different areas based on experience, strengths and interests.

Key responsibilities and tasks include

• Administering contract management and other governance systems.
• Providing KYC and AML-related support and related administration, including collecting, reviewing and maintaining corporate and ownership documentation and coordinating responses to external KYC requests.
• Supporting ongoing and periodic updates of corporate documentation, governance documents, powers of attorney, information brochures and the company’s regulatory business plan.
• Maintaining corporate records and supporting company administration, including coordinating board and shareholder documentation where relevant.
• Supporting regulatory administration and recurring reporting processes, including documentation relating to Areim’s regulated activities and control functions.
• Coordinating and administering Investment Committee meetings, including minute-taking.
• Supporting the planning and administration of Board meetings.
• Maintaining and developing Legal & Regulatory templates, checklists, process descriptions and practical guidance for the wider business.
• Supporting the business with simpler legal matters.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is structured, service-minded and detail-oriented, with the ability to take responsibility and manage several tasks in parallel. You are pragmatic, collaborative and communicative, and enjoy working both independently and together with different stakeholders across the organisation.

Qualifications and suitable background

We believe you have a Paralegal qualification, or another educational background and/or relevant professional experience that we consider equivalent.

Previous experience from a paralegal role, legal administration, governance, KYC, compliance or a similar environment is advantageous. Experience from fund management, financial services or another regulated environment is highly desirable, but not a requirement.

You are comfortable communicating in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.
