Overview

Tangent International are urgently looking for a Packet Core Expert (Nokia Equipment) to work a 6 month rolling contract based in Sweden (Stockholm).

Job Description

Having deep knowledge of 5G AMF/SMF behaviour, PaCo onboarding, fault/ configurations management, and execute E2E testing within the automated pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Onboarding Nokia PaCo CNFs (CMM and CMG) on VMware TCA
• Creating/understanding CMM/CMG CNF deployment and upgrade MOPs
• Creating CSAR package for CMM/CMG deployment and upgrade
• Validating helm charts and TOSCA templates
• Tune CNF deployments for performance (CPU pinning, NUMA, SR-IOV) and validate latency/throughput KPIs.
• Running the post deployment/upgrade configuration and tests
• Supporting creation of PaCo test plans
• Evaluate and suggest CNF-specific YANG/XML configuration parameters and ensure they align with the automation requirements.
• Analyse the CMM/CMG logs/errors and suggest the Root Cause
• Collaborate on Jinja2 templates and Ansible logic from PaCo perspective
• Analyse CNF health reports, pod logs, and trace files, pinpoint signalling or interface issues.
• Mentor DevOps team on 3GPP standards, call-flow diagrams, and troubleshooting methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years working with EPC/5GC packet core, solid command of AMF, SMF, UPF, NRF interfaces.
• Hands-on with Nokia CMM, CMG CNFs.
• Expertise in packet-capture analysis (Wireshark, TShark) and traffic generators (Landslide, or similar).
• Familiarity with YANG/NETCONF and telco-grade configuration management.
