Job summary

East Capital Group is seeking an Oversight Intern to join our Stockholm team. You will assist with daily pricing, data maintenance, external reporting, and corporate actions within a small, hands-on unit.

You will liaise with brokers, administrators, custodians, and internal trading teams, gaining exposure to back- and middle-office workflows in a fast-paced setting. Fluency in English and Swedish is required; a final-year bachelor’s or early master’s student is preferred.

Qualifications

• Final-year bachelor’s student or equivalent, strong interest in financial markets.
• Experience with Bloomberg or front-office systems is a plus.
• Analytical mindset and ability to work in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Daily pricing of liquid and illiquid securities.
• Static data maintenance.
• External reporting on a monthly basis.
• Corporate actions processing (daily).
• Reconciliation processes (quarterly).
• Ensure cash levels and FX handling; flag trade mismatches.
• Support Trading with ad-hoc requests.

The Oversight intern will be part of all the daily tasks and processes that the Oversight team in Stockholm is responsible for. The team consist of three persons.

A part of the role will be to liaising with internal parties and external service providers to ensure all operational and product related processes run smoothly.

The work includes continuous external contacts with brokers, administrators, custodian banks as well as with the internal investment management and trading department teams.

Tasks

The Oversight intern will be part of a diversified team, and the person should be capable of tackling a range of activities including but not limited to:

• Daily pricing of liquid and illiquid securities (daily)
• Static data maintenance (daily)
• External reporting (monthly)
• Corporate actions (daily)
• Reconciliation processes (quarterly)
• Confirm cash levels for all funds, treat FX and duplicate trades (daily)
• Amend trade detail mismatch, keep track of failing trades (daily)
• Supporting East Capital Trading department with ad-hoc requests

Eligibility and profile

As a successful candidate you are at least finishing your bachelor's degree, preferably a last year master’s student.

Economics, Finance and Engineering fields of study are considered a preferential factor and to succeed you must have a genuine interest in the financial markets and asset management.

Qualifications

• Trade settlement and cash management experience is preferential.
• Experience with Bloomberg, front-office systems and/or corporate banking portals is considered a plus.
• Previous experience from working in a Back- or Middle-Office role is also considered a plus.
• Hands on experience with MS Office, and specifically good knowledge of MS Excel is required. Fluent in English and Swedish
• Analytical mindset

• Proactive self-starter with desire to learn, grow, and be challenged
• Demonstrated ability to work within an evolving and dynamic environment
