The Opportunity

We are looking for an Operational Excellence Developer to join the Operations team of Quality & Operations in the business unit GI MACH.

You will be located in Västerås or Ludvika in Sweden and will be responsible for operational optimization and follow-up & reporting including KPIs, non-technical tool development & automation, stakeholder engagement & resource management across the entire organization.

You have a background within operational excellence and resource management and you will work closely together with other functions in the Operations team and with the management.

MACH is a modular advanced control system for control and protection functions. MACH have approximately 500 employees developing electronics hardware and software. The organization aims to increase our scalability and quality in everything we do to be able to continuously deliver state of the art products and services to our customers.

Operational excellence will be a vital part of this journey and a key to holding ourselves accountable to deliver the highest quality to our customers.

How You'll Make Impact

  • Drive the development, optimization, and follow-up of operational artefacts.
  • Analyze and improve workflows and processes to reduce waste and improve throughput.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key metrics (KPIs) and to enable fast, informed and qualitative decision making in the organization.
  • Lead stakeholder reporting and automate repetitive tasks to boost efficiency.
  • Own and develop non-technical tools and the development there of e.g. resource management tools, competence and skills management and other data tools.
  • Automate repetitive tasks, processes and reporting to improve efficiency
  • Process ownership when applicable, perform root cause analysis within your field and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and support the Head of Quality & Operations in strategic initiatives.

Your Background

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in the function
  • Work experience within operational excellence, resource- and process management, data tool development or similar
  • Work experience within an organization developing hardware, software and embedded systems.
  • Project Manager skills and ability to see the bigger picture
  • Proficiency in and experience from BI tools are advantageous.
  • You are responsive and an engaged person who will speak up and create constructive action in line with vision and mission.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization and company.
  • You are structured, accurate and have a driving personality.
  • You are able to clarify visions, create work transparency and like working in a team.
  • Knowledge of resource management systems or similar is advantageous
  • Excellent skills in written and verbal English
