Job summary

NKT in Sweden is seeking a Product Applications Engineer – Utilities (Nordic) to translate grid requirements into practical cable solutions. You will collaborate with customers, sales, R&D, and suppliers to support mid- and high-voltage cable systems across the Nordic region.

The role includes product roadmap input, testing and validation, tender support, and technical presentations. Remote work within Sweden is possible with regular on-site presence in Falun, and occasional Nordics travel.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in electrical industry, cables or utility networks
• Fluency in Swedish and English
• Strong ability to perform electrical calculations and cable dimensioning

Responsibilities

• Execute product roadmap activities for Nordic utility markets
• Act as first technical contact for customers and sales
• Support new product development including testing, validation and documentation
• Provide tender support, simulations, electrical calculations, and cable dimensioning
• Represent NKT in customer meetings, standards work, training sessions, and fairs
