Job summary

BDO Mälardalen AB in Stockholm seeks a Nordic Sector Executive – Private Equity to lead relationships with Nordic private equity firms and build BDO’s Nordic Private Equity platform across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

You will develop sponsor coverage strategies, translate market intelligence into actionable plans, and coordinate multi-service proposals across Deals, Consulting, Tax and Audit to drive cross-border opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of private equity fund models and value-creation levers.
• Experience from sponsor coverage, deal advisory, leveraged finance or transaction services in the Nordic market.
• Proven track record building relationships with mid-market and upper mid-market PE sponsors.
• Existing Nordic PE network or ability to develop senior sponsor relationships.
• Experience coordinating multi-service offerings across Deals, Consulting, Tax and Audit.
• Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills; Power BI is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deepen relationships with Nordic private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
• Develop and execute a regional sponsor coverage strategy for the Nordic market.
• Build account plans based on sponsors' investment focus and value-creation priorities.
• Identify, originate and qualify opportunities across Deals, Consulting, Tax and Audit.
• Coordinate specialists to build multi-service client propositions.
• Maintain a structured pipeline of sponsor and portfolio opportunities.
• Ensure independence requirements and cross-service coordination are respected.
• Provide concise, data-driven updates on deal flow and market developments.
• Expand BDO’s network among bankers, lawyers, and intermediaries.
• Represent BDO at private equity and transaction market events.
