We are seeking a Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Manager with a strong foundation in health economics to join our team of specialists. Your expertise will be integral to shaping and communicating the economic value of our innovative pharmaceutical products.

The role

As the HTA Manager, you will be expected to apply advanced health economic methodologies, including cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses, to support our strategic objectives. Your role will involve developing robust economic models and conducting in-depth analyses to inform HTA submissions, ensuring alignment with the complex requirements of Nordic HTA agencies.

This pivotal position involves leading the development of health economic analyses and HTA submissions/dossiers, driving the success of our innovative pharmaceutical products. In this role, ensuring the successful development of reimbursement dossiers across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland for assigned products/indications is critical.

What you will do

  • Conduct health economic analyses and develop payer evidence that meet the needs of Nordic HTA agencies and demonstrate the health economic value of AZ assets.
  • Lead the development of HTA submissions/dossiers for new products and indications.
  • Conduct health economic analyses to inform strategy and tactics.
  • Stay current with HTA guidelines and requirements in relevant markets and ensure submissions are aligned with these.
  • Provide HTA expertise and guidance to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with global and local teams to ensure alignment on HTA submission strategies.
  • Participate in projects to shape HTA/Access environment.
  • Demonstrate AZ values, ethics, and compliance within all business practices, in alignment with the AZ Governance Framework, internal standards and policies, and external regulations.

What we need from you

Essential experience:

  • Health Economics/Economics/Statistics MSc or PhD Degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of Health Technology Assessment or economic evaluations within the healthcare industry from the Nordics or similar markets.
  • Experience with submissions across the Nordic markets.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and processes for pharmaceuticals and how it relates to health technology assessment and market access.
  • Proficiency in health economics, health outcomes research, and familiarity with HTA methodologies and guidelines.
  • Strategic application of health economic science to HTA dossiers.
  • Analytical – can make actionable insights out of data in the HTA field Structured – can manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to optimally present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support the assessment and adoption of healthcare technologies.
  • Proficient in English and fluent in at least one Nordic language.
