Are you passionate about logistics and looking to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced National LCL Manager to drive our LCL product development and collaborate with our operations team to ensure smooth shipments. If you enjoy sales, pricing strategies, and building strong relationships, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. The preferred location is Gothenburg, Sweden, but Stockholm and Malmö are also possible options for the right candidate.

Your Role

As the National LCL Manager, you will be responsible for managing the development of our LCL product, focusing on volume growth and profitability in line with our company strategy. You will oversee procurement of services and rates from LCL vendors and ensure effective operational setups. This role involves close collaboration with various teams and frequent travel to support business development. You will also be responsible for maintaining cost control, negotiating rates, and managing the LCL P&L department. Additionally, you will promote our digital tools and platforms, ensuring timely updates and participation in training sessions.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Drive pricing and sales strategy for LCL.
  2. Generate LCL volumes through sales efforts both independently and in collaboration with the Sales organization.
  3. Conduct national and international travels to visit potential clients and support local sales teams.
  4. Maintain cost control and negotiate the best possible rates with LCL suppliers.
  5. Manage the LCL P&L, focusing on volume, productivity, GP, and NP.
  6. Collaborate with Global LCL Management and Overseas offices to build and develop relationships.
  7. Review cargo flows to develop new SACO lanes.
  8. Support the completion of LCL tenders and RFQs.

Your Skills and Experiences

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding and sales.
  2. Strong understanding of budgets, target setting, and P&L management.
  3. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  4. Ability to handle pressure and motivate teams.
  5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  6. Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  7. Experience collaborating with LCL suppliers in Sweden is a significant advantage.
  8. Proficiency in English; Swedish language skills are a plus.
  9. Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to a changing organization.
