Job summary

DP World is seeking an experienced Ocean & Air Freight Forwarder in Sweden to manage end-to-end shipments for air and ocean modes, ensuring reliable service. Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in freight forwarding, covering air and ocean freight.
• Strong hands-on operational background, ideally within a mid-sized or multinational forwarder.
• Experience working with TMS systems, KPIs, and process improvement.
• Demonstrated knowledge of multimodal logistics and end-to-end forwarding.
• Previous experience working within a Freight Forwarding Control Tower environment is highly desirable.
• Understanding of supply chain visibility, exception management, customer reporting, and Control Tower operations would be advantageous.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
• Solid understanding of air freight and ocean freight operations.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and organisational skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative and proactive approach to working cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import, export, and cross-trade shipments across air freight and ocean freight (FCL & LCL).
• Negotiate rates and capacity with airlines, carriers, NVOCCs, agents, and trucking providers.
• Prepare, validate, and manage transport, customs, and shipping documentation.
• Monitor shipment progress and provide proactive updates to customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with international regulations, safety standards, and DP World procedures.
• Generate competitive quotes and secure space reservations across air and ocean modes.
• Manage special cargo, including hazardous, restricted, and time-critical shipments.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners.
• Contribute to process improvement, system optimisation, and operational excellence.
• Support sales teams with market insights, pricing support, and upselling opportunities.
• Support the introduction, implementation, and ongoing development of DP World's Control Tower service, ensuring operational readiness and delivering enhanced visibility and customer service across the supply chain
