Job summary

Voi Technology in Stockholm is seeking an Engineering Manager who will lead and grow a cross-functional product team while staying close to the code. This role is ideal for a strong technical lead ready to take a first step into people management – someone who wants to shape team culture, support engineers’ growth, and drive delivery without leaving their technical roots behind.

The Monetisation team owns Voi’s core payment flows, subscriptions, upsell and in-app advertising.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as an engineer in modern tech stacks.
• 2+ years in a tech lead, senior or informal leadership role.
• No prior people management experience required – growth area will be supported.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a cross-functional product team of 4–5 engineers, conducting 1:1s and fostering growth.
• Collaborate with Product Manager and Designer to align priorities and drive high-quality delivery.
• Write code, review PRs, and engage in architectural decisions across backend, web and mobile.
• Champion engineering excellence through architecture, development practices and continuous improvement.
• Coach engineers through feedback, mentorship, and clear expectations.
