Job summary

Collen Aktiebolag söker en erfaren MEP-kwantitetsberäkning/Quantity Surveyor som kan leda administrationen av MEP-paket och kostnadskontroll i stora byggprojekt.

Du arbetar tillsammans med Senior MEP QS och projekt QS, bidrar till säkerhet, tidsplanering och effektiv kommunikation inom hela organisationen. Erfarenhet från stora datasentre ses som meriterande.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• 3–5 års erfarenhet i liknande roll.
• God kunskap om mekaniska & elektriska arbetspaket.
• Erfarenhet av arbete med stora datasentre är en fördel.

Responsibilities

• Överse administration och förändringsorder för MEP-paket.
• Se till att alla ändringar fångas upp och kostnadsberäkningar bedöms och valideras innan de når designteamet.
• Förbereda anbuds- och kontraktsdokument inklusive mängdberäkningar.
• Genomföra kostnadsanalyser för reparation och underhåll.
• Assistera vid fastställande av kundens krav och genomföra genomförbarhetsstudier.
• Utföra risk-, värdehantering och kostnadskontroll.
• Rådgivning om upphandlingsstrategi.
• Identifiera, analysera och utveckla svar på kommersiella risker.
• Förbereda och analysera kostnadsberäkningar för anbud.
• Tilldela arbete till underentreprenörer.
• Ge råd om kontraktuella krav.
• Analysera resultat och skriva detaljerade framstegsrapporter.
• Värdera utfört arbete och ordna betalningar.
• Hålla sig à jour med olika byggkontrakt som används.
• Förstå konsekvenserna av hälsa- och säkerhetsregler.

• 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying
• 3 - 5 years in a similar role
• Good working knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical work packages
• Experience working on large scale data centres will be an advantage

Reporting to the Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor and working with the Project Quantity Surveyor for the Project, as necessary, your key responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the administration and change order process associated with the MEP packages
• Ensure all changes are captured and costings appropriately assessed and validated prior to issuing to the Design Team
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
• Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
• Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
• Performing risk, value management and cost control
• Advising on procurement strategy
• Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks
• Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
• Allocating work to subcontractors
• Providing advice on contractual claims
• Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments
• Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
• Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations

The key individual will be articulate with good numeracy and time management skills. Will possess the ability to work independently and to prioritise tasks while maintaining good communication and engagement with the wider organisation.
