Job summary

SilverBack is seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator for a major Data Centre project in Gävle, Sweden. This site-based role will involve coordinating MEP subcontractors and ensuring installation compliance with safety and construction standards.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in large-scale construction projects and a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, coupled with proficiency in tools such as BIM 360 and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

Job description

SilverBack is recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced MEP Coordinator to support a major hyperscale Data Centre project in Gävle, Sweden. The selected candidate will play a key role in coordinating MEP subcontractors, site installation activities, and technical delivery across a fast-paced mission-critical construction environment.

This is a site-based coordination role focused on ensuring MEP installations progress safely, efficiently, and in line with the overall construction programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP subcontractors, design teams, and site activities across the project.
• Organise and chair weekly MEP coordination meetings.
• Manage RFIs, technical documentation, progress reporting, and subcontractor coordination.
• Monitor installation progress and identify delays, risks, or programme impacts.
• Carry out site inspections to ensure works comply with specifications, drawings, and relevant standards.
• Coordinate as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation.
• Support coordination between construction, engineering, commercial, and commissioning teams.
• Ensure MEP works are delivered in accordance with Health & Safety requirements and site procedures.
• Report non-conformances and support resolution of technical or site coordination issues.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as an MEP Coordinator, M&E Coordinator, Building Services Coordinator, or similar role within large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations within live construction environments.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ability to review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience managing RFIs, reporting processes, and site coordination activities.
• Experience working within mission‑critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, infrastructure, or data centre projects is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with platforms such as BIM 360, Navisworks, Procore, Aconex, AutoCAD, or similar tools is advantageous.
