AbbVie is looking for an experienced Medical Affairs professional who willbe responsible forour dermatology portfolioin Sweden. This is an opportunity to join a truly collaborative and welcomingScandinavian Medical Affairsorganizationwhere you willrepresentthe affiliate’s medical/scientific voice ofexpertisefor assigned product(s) within the dermatology therapeutic area.Yourposition willcompriseapproximately 50% infield and 50%office-basedfocus.
As Medical Advisor your key responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limitedto:
- Be the medical/scientific expert in the cross-functionalBrand TeamandIn-Field Teamandprovide medical/scientific input to strategies. This can also includecross-functionalinitiatives.
- Establish andmaintainprofessional relationships with experts and academic centers; attend scientific congresses, arrange advisory groups, discussionforumsand symposia.
- Deliver scientific presentations andfacilitatemedical education to health care professionals.
- Prepare scientific/medical information on request.
- Review of commercial material. Ensure that content is scientifically/medically correct andin accordance withregulatory and internal guidelines.
- Assistin initiating, supervising, andfollowing upclinical trials anddrivingmedical projects.
- Lead evidence generation byidentifyingevidence gaps and initiating,drivingand/or supporting clinical trials and medical projects (internal and external collaborations). e.g., Phase IV, RWE, observational and registry studies
Qualifications
We are looking for a person who has:
- Relevantacademic medical or scientific degree, research experience (PhD) is notrequiredbut will be considered as an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 + years’ experience in either a similar position as a Medical Advisor. Alternatively, an experiencedMedical Science Liaison, Clinical Research Associate, or Clinical Trial Managerlooking to take a next step in their career.
- Proven leadership in cross-functional settings, integrating medical insights into business strategy
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex medical/scientific concepts to internal and key external stakeholders in a clear and inspiring way
- Keen interest in developing andmaintainingexpert knowledge for assigned therapeutic area/product and in medical research in general.
- Experience in a matrix environment.
- Fluency inSwedish.
- Fluency in Englishis required tofacilitatecommunications between the affiliate medical department, Regional and International Medical Affairs and other AbbVie functional staff.
- Strong commitment to compliance with the relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity.
- Demonstrated digital fluency, with the ability to quickly learn, adapt to, andleveragedigital platforms and internal systems to drive results.
- Willingness totravel
