Job summary

Saipem is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to join the BECCS project in Stockholm. You will report to the Construction Manager and ensure mechanical work by subcontractors or direct hire personnel is carried out safely, on time and to contract specifications.

You will oversee drawings, materials, and tools, verify progress, and provide weekly updates on manpower and site activities, collaborating with the Subcontractor Mechanical supervisor to monitor work progress.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in mechanical activities on energy or manufacturing facility construction/commissioning sites.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and planning of assembly sequences.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe works practices and environmental protection, ensuring safety standards are respected
• Ensure the fulfilment of the project quality and contractual requirements
• Verify and confirm the availability of drawings and materials, to plan the efficient execution of the works performed by subcontractors or by assigned direct hiring personnel
• Supervise the execution of mechanical works and structures, checking that machineries/tools are properly used and maintained
• Verify that works are correctly carried out in accordance with the project specifications, highlighting any engineering problems encountered in the field
• Provide quantitative data for producing weekly progress reports, monitoring the employed manpower
• Liaise with the Subcontractor Mechanical supervisor to monitor the work progress

Purpose of the position

As Mechanical Supervisor, you will report to the Construction Manager. You will be part of our BECCS project (full‑scale Bio‑Energy Carbon Capture and Storage) for the Business Line ENCAR. You will ensure the subcontractor team is conducting the mechanical work in a timely manner and inform the client regarding the progress of the construction plant.

• Experience: 10 years in Mechanical activities in an Energy or Manufacturing facility construction/commissioning site
