Job summary

SSA Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Manager to lead mechanical works on a major Data Centre project in Sweden. You will manage packages from installation through to completion, coordinating with PMs, engineers and planners on a European project footprint.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services, 7+ years in mechanical construction, and proven subcontractor management. Excellent organisation and communication are a must.

• 7+ years of experience in mechanical construction.
• Experience managing mechanical packages on large-scale projects.
• Data Centre, industrial or mission-critical experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate mechanical work packages from installation through to completion.

Our client is an established M&E Contractor with a strong pipeline of major projects across Ireland and Europe.

They are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Package Manager to join their team on a large-scale Data Centre project in Sweden.

Duties include

• Manage and coordinate mechanical work packages from installation through to completion.
• Oversee day-to-day mechanical site activities and subcontractor performance.
• Manage programme, manpower and progress against key project milestones.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Planners and design teams.
• Review drawings, technical submittals and construction information.
• Manage QA/QC processes and ensure works meet project standards.
• Attend site, engineering, planning and handover meetings.
• Track variations, progress and key commercial matters.
• Manage mechanical snagging and ensure timely close-out of works.
• Identify and resolve technical and coordination issues on site.

Position Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar.
• 7+ years’ experience within the mechanical construction sector.
• Strong experience managing mechanical packages on large-scale projects.
• Previous Data Centre, industrial or mission-critical experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and site operations.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and project delivery.
• Excellent organisational, communication and coordination skills.
